Happy Tuesday everyone! We’re so excited to share with you a fun project by P&G Beauty’s StyleUnited. To commemorate all those iconic beauty brands that have helped us achieve those stylish and trendy looks over the years, StyleUnited is building a time capsule and filling it with your picks of Proctor & Gamble beauty brands. That’s right YOUR favorite beauty picks! Be a part of beauty history by voting for your favorite Proctor & Gamble beauty brand. Brands like Cover Girl, Olay, Pantene and more! You get to help them pick the must-have beauty products of 2013.

The time capsule will be sealed up and opened in 25 years, where the women and men in 2038 will be able to see the beauty and lifestyle crazes of those in 2013. Can you imagine how different some of your favorite products will look? Just look at how different some of your favorite Proctor & Gamble products looked 10, 20 and 30 years ago!

Beauty Fancy: Firm, Baby, Firm

I’m always looking to try new beauty products or other products from a line I currently use. One particular line I haven’t really tried many facial skincare products from is Bliss. I love their body butters and use them often because I love way they leave my skin soft and moisturized. Lemon and sage body butter is my absolute favorite! While searching the Bliss site, I noticed a series of Bliss skin care products called firm, baby, firm. In this series there is a bliss firm, baby, firm total eye system consisting of a dual-sided, dual-action system that addresses the needs of your upper and lower eye. Love the sound of that. There is also a bliss firm, baby, firmserum that focuses on firming the skin.

I’m really curious about the eye creme because I’ve haven’t really seen an eye care regimen that provides care for both the upper and lower lid. I like this approach to eye care because it almost seems like a more concentrated or targeted solution.

Both products are formulated with gardenia stem cells in an aloe base which sounds nice and soothing. I don’t really need the serum but think my mom and aunt would love this. The website says that the serum helps boost collagen & elasticity and plump skin from the inside out. Its concentrated formula features a 99% active, water free aloe base and is enhanced with 5-patent irritation-reducing and permeation-enhancing technology. It sounds like a great product.

One other product that caught my eye and fits right into the conversation of firming is their bliss fatgirlsixpack gel. I’ve heard so much about this gel on several beauty boards with mixed reviews. A friend of mine tried it recently and she was quite impressed. She thinks the name of the product might be confusing people to think it was some type of weight loss creme. The purpose of this gel is to firm and tone the skin in the tummy area and is intended to be used along with a core sculpting regimen such as diet and exercise. The toning gel is formulated with 6 powerful toning and firming actives such as caffeine plus amino acids, creatine, oat kernel extract, latex-rich manilkara tree extract, menthol and a special botanical extract. I’m thinking it’s bikini season and it even though we are working on our tummies, a little extra help couldn’t hurt; count me in on the bliss fatgirlsixpack.

The days are getting warmer and summer is practically here. In L.A. we begin to bring out our swimwear, shorts, tanks and of course, our maxi dresses. Today’s L.A. Style: To The Max is all about the maxi dress. We love maxi dresses! They are one of our favorite garments for summer; more than shorts or skirts. There is something so easy and relaxed about a maxi dress that makes it our garment of choice. Extremely versatile, they can be styled to look casual or dressy. Whatever the look one things for sure, they always look very chic.

Luckily, designers have really embraced the maxi dress, bringing a multitude of gorgeous maxi designs to fit all body types. From umpire waist, to halter and backless designs, there is a maxi for everyone. I came across a particular design that I thought was a little different from what I’ve seen in maxi’s. This Young, Fabulous and Broke printed dress has a relaxed fit with a skirt that graces the floor and a vibrant color palette that is perfect for summer. We absolutely love this dress.
