I hope you all had a great 4th of July holiday. It’s Friday and I couldn’t be happier. While the weather hasn’t been very warm and it still doesn’t quite feel like summer, I just can’t help but gravitate towards all those great summer dresses. Certain dress types I think are synonymous with summer, and today’s Friday Fancies is just about that; the Maxi Dress.

So my sister and I did hit the beach this 4th of July, but we also hit 3rd St. Promenade for a little retail therapy and let me tell you, we were all over maxi dresses. They are so versatile and comfortable. Casual at times but never sloppy. It’s free-flowing design gives this dress style a certain elegance that can easily be amplified with the right accessories. I love how some of the dresses are designed with soft lines, gorgeous curves and fabulous detail. Super feminine, chick and very sexy. Here are a few of my sister’s favorite styles.
