Day three offered thirteen designers whos designs ranged from extreme elegance to everyday sophistication. Radiant gowns embellished with luxurious elements as well as stylish separates fit for any true fashionista. But with all the fabulous offerings in day three, two names will echo for months; Jean Paul Gaultier and Elie Saab. Here is a little of what they showed as well as some designs by Maxime Simoens, Valentino and Dany Atrache.
Majestic long elegant gowns and short 50′s inspired dresses in a variety of delightful pastels, embellished with intricate beading, gorgeous lace and floral inspired appliques. A dazzling display of elegance that I am sure left many A-listers yearning for one of these designs for their next red carpet event.
Jean Paul Gaultier
A spectacular display of color in this collection that was very evocative of the late Amy Winehouse; winged eyeliner, beehive hair and all. He even had a model smoke a cigarette down the runway. It seemed as if every model channeled Amy making this collection almost an homage to late musical icon.
A fabulous presentation of dresses and separates in dark, rich and glossy materials with stylish details that included beading, embroidery, and sheer applied fabrics.
This collection read very soft, light and nature inspired. White gowns and dresses with lace and eyelet details. Soft floral prints along with lace decorated much of the designs. There was also a small offering of hand beaded pieces with a sheer foundation.
An elegant collection featuring shimmering, sheer and lace fabrics decorated with beading, applique and lace creating beautiful and artistic detailing in every dress.
